At the midway mark in November there are 16 detached homes available in the community, and 13 detached homes which changed ownership since August 1st.  This translates to a four month supply of inventory which is a very good MSI (months supply of inventory) compared to overall Triangle market MSI of 10 months. 

 

In our townhouse subsections, The Green and The Bungalows, there are 9 active listings and 9 closed properties since August 1st.  These homes enjoyed a strong boost from the first time buyer tax credit deadline of October 31st.  Congress has since extended this deadline into the spring of 2010.  The $8,000 tax credit for first time buyers will continue to positively impact both townhomes and detached homes in Scotts Mill.
